• Players will register either for the 8/7-8/8 dates OR 8/9-8/10 dates.
• Roster spots will begin being offered the weekend after tryouts have been completed.
• Players/families must be ready to accept or decline roster spots immediately upon receiving offer.
• Non-Refundable Deposits will be made to officially accept roster offer.

Tryout Information:  Each year, GBG Northeast runs open tryouts for our teams.  While we do not start from scratch with each roster each summer, our goal is to field the most competitive teams in each division as possible.  Many ask about "how much turnover do you have from year to year" or "what spots are you looking to fill" and those are tough questions to answer.  We evaluate all players at tryouts, new and returning players, and offer spots to new players based on those tryouts but also the previous season for returning players.

GBG Player Development & ID Academy:  Each summer, we hold our annual "GBG Player Development & ID Academy" for current 9U-13U (2023 ages) or 10U-14U (2024 ages) This is a week of instruction provided by our top GBG Staff Members and Director.  We use this program to show prospective players how we run practices and what type of instruction we provide.  This is a great way for players to "try us out" rather than us trying out the kids.  This is the best option for players looking to prepare for tryouts OR cannot make tryouts.  Please note that players registering for this program should be seriously considering our program and be an "A" or "High B" level player in their respective town.  If you are a player considering switching to a new program and GBG is of interest, we HIGHLY suggest attending our early summer option of July 5th-7th in Medway (10U-12U).  

Alternate Tryout Options:  Each summer, our staff looks to provide as many opportunities as possible for interested players to tryout for our program.  

Our BEST alternate tryout option for players trying out for ages 10U-14U is our 3-day GBG Northeast Player Development & ID Academy.  These run the week of July 5-7 at the Cassidy Field Complex in Medway and July 24-26 at the Booth Field Complex in Foxboro for prospective 10U-12U players and the week of July 31st - August 2nd at Xaverian Brothers HS in Westwood, MA.

    • 16U-18U:  8:30am-10:00am
    • 14U-15U: 10:00am-11:30am
    • 13U: 11:30am-1:00pm
